Risk management begins with identifying and assessing potential hazards. Through process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments, the refinery can pinpoint risks and take steps to mitigate them. This includes maintaining mechanical integrity through regular inspections, ensuring the reliability of safety systems, and adhering to stringent operating procedures.
