Ownership and Current Operations

The ownership and current operations of the Atyrau Petroleum Refinery are primarily controlled by KazMunayGas (KMG), Kazakhstan’s state-owned national oil and gas company. KMG plays a central role in the management and strategic direction of the refinery, ensuring its alignment with Kazakhstan’s broader energy policies and economic goals.
